LOGE Alta Crystal, WA

Manager was very friendly and got us settled in quickly. We arrived late at night after another cabin we booked was out of power and they did nothing to help us. We are very appreciative of the manager for welcoming us and giving us a great experience and allowing us to enjoy our ski trip without further set backs,

It was a picture perfect day for skiing at Crystal Mountain. The snow was perfect! The new buildings are a beautiful addition. Lots of services there it's a great resort.

Stayed for a ski trip at Crystal Mountain and we had a great time. Clean, well appointed, and cozy. Highly recommend.

The accommodations are cabin like & could use some refreshing. The beds were comfortable but the living room furniture has seen better days. We had a Queen loft unit. There was a queen bed in the main bathroom downstairs and a full bed and 3/4 bed in the loft. There was a full bath downstairs and a 3/4 bath upstairs. You access the loft by a ladder. We are senior citizens and getting in the loft was a challenge. Our grandchildren had no trouble though. The shuttle to Crystal Mountain Ski Resort was convenient and flexible. An excellent perk. The office staff responded quickly to our questions and housekeeping staff was very pleasant. Some of our party enjoyed an evening swim in the heated pool even though it was less than 30 degrees outdoors. The hot tub was closed for repairs. A lovely area - nice stay if you don't mind things being a little rustic.

Our stay was really good! The apartment was nice with a lovely fireplace, a kitchenette and comfortable beds. The staff really kind and friendly. This property is 40 minutes away from Enumclaw and about 20 minutes (if no traffic!!!) from the ski area. I suggest to do your shopping in Enumclaw if you’re going to cook your meal and also to have breakfast. The property provides complimentary coffee though.

This was hands down the most relaxing, peaceful, and incredibly gorgeous stay I’ve ever had. The grounds are impeccably kept. The staff was so unbelievably helpful (shout out to Autumn!!) The location itself is absolutely stunning. You can hear the sound of the river running nearby from any point on the grounds. I can’t wait to come back. Super friendly! Best part is the dog friendly. I really appreciated how they provided stuff for dogs. Very thoughtful! I take my dog everywhere so this was a stress free experience for a long trip. Thank you staff for the accommodations!

Great getaway, heated pool, fire pits and super friendly staff

Perfect property for a visit to the local ski resort or Mt Rainier.

Good: It was very clean and cozy. Bad: We were on the first floor and we could feel people above us early in the morning. Also the hot tub wasn’t working.

DOG FRIENDLY place that left goodies for her too!! Beautiful area and super quiet. Had fun doing the trail on the property. The guy we meet yesterday checking in was super helpful. Love the little extra they do like give us a goodie bag and smores at night. We did in our room next to the fire. I wish their were more places like this!

Great location to Mt Rainier! Loved our fireplace in our room. However, the hot tub was broken. And cooking utensils were old and not the most functional. (Ex. Bad/old pans). Overall a lack of good utensils, which was inconvenient considering there was only one restaurant open within 20min. Would go back and bring my own pans etc, but also really wish the hot tub was consistently functional!

Room A1 is downstairs. People upstairs made a lot of noise and were constantly dropping stuff on the floors. The microwave was not reachable much too high. Otherwise very nice place.

We stayed in a suite with living room, small kitchen area, bedroom, bath. The room itself was nice - clean, quiet, all necessary amenities. No cell service though. We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken (and apparently had been so for awhile). The main problem is that there is no place to get any sort of fresh food except Eunumclaw, which is a significant drive. There is a small store at the Loge but it only sells snacks and things like cups of cereal/instant oatmeal. The general store in Greenwater only sold snack foods. We ended up driving to Eunumclaw for dinner and to buy food at the Safeway for breakfast/lunch.

Loved the cute room with the loft! The pool was lovely, the check in/check out was easy, and the staff was super friendly! We’ll be back!

Check in and communication with the hotel was smooth & instructions on how to find our room & key code were very clear. This is a unique place with cabins & lodge types rooms in groups of 4 or 6. Also we really enjoyed time in the heated outdoor pool in the evening. They also provide the fixings for S'mores to make on the fire tables by pool - nice touch. Only complaints: crumbs in kitchen drawers, hair in bathtub, and the code box was badly taped on the inside of the door. Could use a better repair job.

Great stay right outside of Rainier! Staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a small field area with lots of outdoor games and activities. The atmosphere was great and the rooms were super cozy and spacious. Definitely a hidden gem.

This was our second stay at a LOGE property. We like the vibe and appreciate that fall is maintenance season. We look forward to seeing progress in the details.

Great location for proximity to Mount Rainier National Park for hiking and exploring. Otherwise quite remote. Only one restaurant with a limited menu is available, approximately a 15 minute drive away. Limited selection of snacks and prepackaged food is available when the front office is open. So bring food! Staff (especially D, the property manager) was extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive. The property is dated and in need of a major refresh, but the rooms and grounds are well maintained. The hot tub was broken and unavailable, which was a bummer. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Games and books are available for borrowing in office. Several nice touches, which would make a return visit more likely.

This is a nice lodge close to both Crystal and MT Rainier National Park. I loved the mini-apartment with kitchenette and the staff was very helpful. Perfect location for my 4 day hiking trip. I will definitely be back. Only negative was the upstairs group was fairly loud but it was still a wonderful stay.

Stayed here when going to mount Rainer, not too many options for lodging around there. The room we got was perfect, had 2 bathrooms and beds for the 3 of us, small kitchen and patio overlooking the pool. Really cool location with some amenities on site. The jacuzzi was down which was a huge disappointment, and the WiFi and satellite tv was not working in the room half the time. Luckily the WiFi in the lobby was working better. Overall I would recommend, but a small discount would have been nice due to some of the amenities not working.

Perfect basecamp for Mt Rainier NP exploration

Everything was great. Except there was no WiFi which greatly affected our ability to plan. I know staff were working on correcting but it did affect us a little.

This is a great place to stay -- conveniently located to the Sunrise side of Mt. Rainier National Park, so within a 10 - 20 drive of amazing hikes. The facility itself is comfortable and clean -- not fancy, but has everything you need. Great value. Nearest restaurant is 15 mins away, but the kitchenette in some units is perfect for in-room meals. I highly recommend LOGE Alta Crystal.

The staff were available, friendly, and helpful. They made late check-in and early check-out super easy. Our unit was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The beds are especially comfortable. The property is well located to the Sunrise side of the national park, so there are plenty of amazing hikes within a 10 - 20 minute drive. Closest dining is about 15 minutes away, but the kitchenette in our unit made at-home meals easy. I highly recommend this lodge and would stay there again.

We rented a loft cabin. It was spacious and decent. There are plenty of things that need upgrading and attention, but honestly, it was good enough for what we were doing--which was spending most of our time out of the cabin. It was close to Mt Rainier Nat Park entrance, and not far from Sunrise Parking. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would go back.

Close to MT Rainier.Rooms are clean and staffs are friendly and helpful.The only reminder is to search the lodge using the lodge’s name instead of the address on google map.Or you will be navigated into the national park but not the lodge.

The upstairs and downstairs rooms were perfect for our needs. Our grandson loved to go up and down the ladder. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the separate bathrooms upstairs and downstairs were also very convenient and clean. It was fun to have the s’more time from 4-8pm. We enjoyed the kitchen and the living room was comfortable and fun to play games in. We borrowed a game as well which was also fun. I enjoyed the small store on site with herbal teas and other items for the guests and fun things to eat and other items to buy.

We have plenty of nice things to say but we did have some major disappointments. We arrived at 4:16pm having received a message that check in was at 4pm. I had received a text at 12:00pm saying we were in room A8 and what our code was for the door. 40 mins later we got a text saying our room was C6. When we arrived we went to the registration office, but there was a sign, at 4:16pm, saying that they would be back at 6:20pm. I had hoped that was an error. However I wasnt too worried because I had a code. We carried our bags up the stairs to our room and the code did not work. Thinking we may be in the room from the first text, we took our bags back down the stairs and We then went to it. The code did not work. I phoned for assistance and there was no answer. at 5:10pm a staff member came back. She was a pleasant person, but didn't seem to be too apologetic for our circumstances. She said she had to drive the staff back to their housing. My mother is disabled with chronic pain having Multiple Sclerosis and was in great need to stretch out her body after the car trip. We timed our traveling around this to care for her needs .Her body locked up in that wait time out in the cold and it was not a great start for her trip and affected her experience there after. We booked the loft and it was a great space. However, there was trash left in the garbage can and an entire pizza left in the refrigerator. So the perception was that it had not been cleaned. I booked the LOGE because of the hot tub, which was going to help aid my mother after the trip. It was a huge disappointment that it was out of service the entire weekend. I think a text to alert guest to this in advance would be a nice courtesy. The room had a bedroom that connected to the balcony. The loft space had two beds. There was a bathroom in the loft and on the main floor. The space was warm and comfortable for the three of us. Once settled, we had a lovely time and would like to return. However, we would like to have the full experience next time. The location is wonderful. Very close to the National park and to the Gondola. Wonderful Hiking and PNW beauty.

We really enjoyed this place. Great location and areas to hang outside, the staff is wonderful and friendly, and they had cute little amenities included in the cost of the room that were a nice touch. Internet wasn’t working well, but that’s understandable. It’s out a bit off the grid and it pushes you to stay off the Internet unless you need it for GPS or maps or something. Either way, if you can afford it, we recommend this cute and cozy little get away spot.

I found this to be a wonderful place to escape the city and enjoy the park. It was the perfect peaceful mornings, surrounded by nature.

LOVED our stay! Loft room was perfect for our family of 4 - everyone had their own space and places to come together. We met other friendly guests at the pool. Cooked our own meals in the kitchen (no grocery stores nearby - bring your provisions!). There was a small retail shop as well that helped us supplement some items (think: breakfast cereal & ramen). Our kids enjoyed the free hot chocolate & tea from the shop as well as the DVD "rentals" (free!). Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We visited in the summer -- location was great to get to Mt Rainer Sunrise entrance (don't forget your park reservation!). Also lots of chill time.

What a hidden gem! It was perfect for getting around Rainer. My friend is a skier and I'll mention this place if he ever wants to head further west than Colorado and Idaho! Just really great stay

My family had a great time at LOGE Alta Crystal during our trip to Mt. Rainier NP. While the resort is a bit dated, the great service and variety of things to do definitely made up for that. Nancy at the office was friendly and accommodating, allowing my kids to change and use the pool a couple of hours before our room was ready. The kids ages 5-15 loved the lawn games, DVDs available at the office, and s'mores at the propane fire table (great to have during the burn ban), and we parents appreciated the free coffee at the office as well as advice on trails. It was a fantastic location for driving up to Sunrise. The kitchen was very basic, but adequate for our needs, and my request for a bigger frying pan was fulfilled within minutes. The pool truly was the best part after hours spent in the national park; our kids didn't want to leave. Little details like heavenly scented bath soaps and the cute little camp mugs added to the experience. We'd love to stay here on a return trip!

New owners, still great a great location at Crystal! I think the store needs far more freezer and refrigerated items…a stockpile of frozen pizzas, milk, butter, cheese, salami…you are pretty isolated up there, and the town stores are too far for a reasonable drive. Our stove only had two working burners, but it sounds like a remodel is underway, which is great! Will come again!

If you are looking for a fun place to stay with your dog that is close to Crystal Mtn., this is the place. The facility really needs a facelift, but it is clean and convenient and there are trails you can take with dogs right from the resort.

Overall love the place, just needed some more updating. Staff and service was good. Was easy to get to Gondola and other activities and only about 30 minutes to closest town.

We had a short stay at LOGE Alta Crystal and mainly used is as a base while we went hiking around Mt Rainier. It's about 1.5 hours from Paradise hiking trails and about 40 minutes from the Sunrise hiking trails. We stayed in one of the suites, which was very comfortable for our family of four. We had 3 double beds to share among all of us, and there was also a sleeper sofa with extra bed, which we did not use. Toiletries were also provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, hand soap). I loved the high ceilings and skylight in our suite although the furnishings felt a little dated, it's not a deal breaker. The biggest strength of the LOGE Alta Crystal is the staff - they were extremely communicative, and although the office shuts down at 8pm every night, we were able to reach someone via text. And we received responses usually within a few minutes. They even set up s'mores for us after hours after a day of hiking for my kids. The front office staff was also really friendly, knowledgable, and helpful when helping us navigate to certain Rainier entrances. There is a "cafe" but it's mainly a little convenience type store that's stocked with dry cereals, milk, juices, muffins, and other snacks. They also have a little store that sells sweatshirts, hats, sunscreen, etc if you forget some other small gear. I think the building is new and they're expanding soon, and once they do, I think it will be even nicer!

This is a mountain oasis. They allow dogs free of charge. Our room was a great size for a family of four, plus one puppy. The kitchen was ideal. My kids didn’t want to leave the pool. Also, the hot chocolate bar was a hit for all of us. Charlie was fantastic, so knowledgeable and kind.

Our family stayed here for a family wedding. We really enjoyed the location and the loft room, since we are a family of 5. Note there is limited snacks and no dining here. There is a sister-restaurant where breakfast is served, but it is about 10 min away and options are very limited. Take lots of snacks and food if you have kiddos. There is a kitchen in the room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We plan to go back.

We stayed from 29Jun to 02jul 2024. We had a 6 person suite and the complete experience, facilities and staff were the best we ever had. The location and solitude were excellent if visiting national park. I would visit again!

Setting was peaceful and beautiful with tall trees. Room condition needs some improvement, but quiet surroundings amid tall fir trees exceed our expectations. We enjoyed peaceful 3days stay. Staff were very helpful.

Charlie at the front desk was super friendly and kind. We loved free s’mores at the fire pit. There was no ac which is typical of the area but it was a little too warm end of July for us. Fans were provided but if sleeping in loft where hot air rises it was a little hot. Mattress not super comfy. Overall we were pleased with our stay and for Sunrise area location couldn’t be beat. Would stay again if visiting area.

First the staff was amazing and nice. The property was great. My only thing is that there are no dining options. The ski resort has restaurants but the one at the bottom of the mountain was closed so you had to go to the top to eat and the food was ok.. there is a small place about 15 minutes north and that's it. So make sure you bring food to cook our room had a refrigerator stove oven and microwave but there are no grocery stores close maybe 1.5 hours away.

What a delightful place to stay for exploring Mt Rainier! Only about 40 min to Sunrise Corridor entrance and about 1 hr from Paradise Corridor entrance. Perfect for families with agile kids that want to sleep in the 2 beds in the loft (up a ladder). A second bathroom is up there too. Queen on main level is comfy with full bath and shower across the hall. The couch is comfy if you need room for another person or just to spread out a bit more. Would have liked a few extra blankets and pillows. Hot water is hot! Small fridge and microwave are handy but the fridge makes a droning buzz all night. Furnishings are all perfectly adequate and clean, but dated and weathered some use. It’s economical, not luxury, and the price is very reasonable. No washer and dryer amenities though, major drag. There a nice pool and a hot tub that were great for afternoons and early evening. S’mores are set out to make at has-powered tables, very thoughtful! There’s also a small but helpful shop with a few grocery essentials to get you by short term (you need to bring in food for real cooked meals). They have DVDs to borrow as well. Really liked it here. Very friendly and helpful staff that run the shop and check in area from 8am-8pm. Would stay again.

Very cozy and close proximity to Mount Rainier’s Sunrise entrance. We left after 6:30am and arrived at Sunrise entrance just before 7am so we did not have to use our timed entry pass. We then cancelled our timed entry pass near the ranger station which had WiFi which allowed another visitor an opportunity to enter the park. Next time we come we’ll definitely use the outdoor grills and use the complimentary fire wood. Also our room had a fireplace which came in use on one of our chilly evenings. Our room had direct TV and no problems. Don’t forget to ask for free ice. Our receptionist was super friendly and very welcoming.

Perfect lodge near Mt Rainier

Everything was wonderful except there is no air conditioning. There are a few box fans and we slept with the windows open. There is no washer and dryer on site as well. Manager says they are working to get one on site which would be perfect for those hiking all day and have smelly clothes.

Rooms were a bit outdated but clean and has plenty of area to spread out. Staff was amazing!! I can’t say enough about the girl that was at the office/gift shop area literally the sweetest most welcoming person I’ve ever met at a motel/lodge. Hotel Highlights: Romantic, Quiet

The LOGE hotel is absolutely adorable. I believe our summer trip fell during their off season (it seems to be more of a winter resort), but that didn’t take away from its charm. The accommodations were perfect for our family of 6 with 2 restrooms & enough beds for everyone. The surroundings were amazing with a cute lawn game set up & space to explore. The staff was super friendly and helpful!

Great clean place and nice and quiet. Love they had a fan to use while sleep as I need a fan to sleep!

Wonderful 3 night stay in the woods near Mount Rainier. It was quiet, quaint, and the front desk was WONDERFUL. A little tight for space, and the property may seem dated, but we had a wonderful time. 2 adults, 2 kids and a big dog were comfy the whole time, and the staff really loved having a pup on the property. They were great and we will totally be staying here again.

Our first experience with the brand, we primarily chose for the location but were pleasantly surprised!

This place beat my expectations! One less star on the facilities because they do not actually have a sauna up and running. It's on the map they sent me but we were informed it isn't installed yet. I'll come back to write more about how great everything was when I'm back home. Charlie at the guest service area was so helpful. Mt Rainier National Park is just a ways down the road. Absolutely breathtaking and stunning experience.

I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5 green dots, but since that's not an option, I rounded up to five. Beautiful surroundings, well-kept grounds, nice buildings. A pleasant place to spend time. We didn't use any of the extra ammenities as we were busy recreating at Mt Rainier, but there were plenty to enjoy. I'd try LOGE again.

We live in the biggest town near here so when I looked up hotels that have pools, the Loge Alta Crystal looked intriguing. It had everything we needed so we packed our bags, grabbed a pizza & wings (knowing there are no dining options up that way) and headed up the mountain. Just prior to our arrival we received a text with our room # and door code. Virtual check in is always preferred. Upon arrival, we unloaded our truck to a well appointed and clean room. I was surprised that it had a true kitchenette with all the necessities. The couch was stained but it wasn't off putting - I'm sure it's seen a lot of use. It pulled out to a full size bed which my teenager slept well on. The bedroom had a queen that I had to share with my 11 year old but it was comfortable and the whole place had just what we needed for bedding and toiletries. The boys wanted to go swimming so we all got dressed and headed to the heated pool. It is older and again stained but clean and well maintained. I could tell that they do a good job with keeping the chemical right (I formerly had to maintain a small apartment pool & tub). While the boys swam, I decided to take the dogs for a walk around. Nice grassy field with poo bags & can for waste. We then just started walking further up the hill past the cabins where I discovered a sign "Trail" so I followed it. It led me to a beautiful waterfall. Had I brought the right shoes, I probably could have kept exploring. Returned to the boys and we wrapped up the night watching a DVD (found in the office after launching an inquiry as to why the Direct TV wasn't working - hello satellite! Lol) Slept through the peaceful night and checked out early around 9am (11am is check out time). I plan to stay again...this time with appropriate footwear. Great cabin feel. Good location to trails and down from Crystal Mtn (we went in off season so most areas were not open yet but location was great).comfortably slept 4 of us (2 kids, each had their own bed/space).

Great place to stay for easy access to Crystal Mountain or summer hiking and adventure. We loved the welcome kit for our dog (food bowls, towel, treats, tennis ball, etc), the heated pool, smores by the pool, and beautiful hiking trail into the national forest right outside our door. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The little store on site is great and has snacks, drinks and free coffee and hot cocoa bar.

Excellent service..Beautiful location with trailhead nearby for birdwatching and waterfall, ski/snowboarding resort a quick drive up in luxurious Mercedes shuttle, jacuzzi spa for relaxing was super clean, nice and hot, beds very comfortable but not the pillows, lodge was very cozy, used everything including the neat potbelly fireplace, place needs wine glasses.

Great clean place with space, amenities, friendly staff and convenient location to Crystal Mt. We had a big group of friends and families for CMAC racing weekend. The lofts were spacious and kitchens sufficient for making group meals. Know that the appliances are all mini including the fridges:) I suggest augmenting with coolers. Ice is provided by the office. Slam dunk place to stay. Highly recommend!

Have stayed here multiple seasons. Office staff are super friendly and helpful. Love that they allow dogs, have a heated pool and a free shuttle that drops right at the front steps of Crystal. Great local option.

Such a cute and relaxing spot after a day on the mountain! Top hits for us were the hot tub and fireplace! They give you complimentary s’more bags in the office/ store area. We look forward to planning a second trip!

The lodge offers a cabin type feel even though most of the rooms are set up as condos/townhouse shared walls. Trails are easily accessible from the property. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. This is a great place to escape during the week. Beds are comfortable. Hot tub is hot and inviting and it is beautiful to look up to the sky through the trees while the jets massage your back. The area is dog friendly. If you come, please clean up after yourself. We did see some guests leave waste on the trails and un-bagged in unlined waste bins. This is a place that deserves respect. My dog was more than happy here and I hope that with good behavior of other guests, he will continue to be received here with open arms. There are Roosevelt Elk and deer that frequent the property. There may be some bears and wild cats. Birds are beautiful. There is much to see and do.

This was our second stay at Alta Crystal. First trip was in a queen room and this time I brought the whole family, canine included, and we stayed in the Tahoma cabin. The kids are in the weekend lesson program, and this accommodation is awesome to avoid all the early mornings and extra awesome with the shuttle that takes you door to door. Compared to an unnamed more convenient location, this is far superior in terms of value given the size of rooms, bed comfort, ability to cook your own meals, pool and hot tub and dog friendliness (if that's your thing). Unfortunately this go round the pool heater was broken (massive bummer for my kids and us, quite frankly) and a few things in the cabin need attention too (numerous light bulbs out, broken table, remotes not working). The staff are all lovely and very friendly, responsive to requests for help, and the kids love the after dinner (free) smores and hot chocolate. Definitely a happy find this year.

We enjoyed our one night stay in a cozy lodge unit! Like a small house. Enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub in a snowy setting. Enjoyed the fireplace in the room and watching DVDs whilst the snow fell outside

We had a wonderful experience and would come back! Communication, staff, amenities, rooms were outstanding except the ladder in the loft suite. While we take responsibility that our 7 years old son fell off the ladder, it is very steep and I would not recommend for kids 10 and under. We had to go to the ED (40 mins away) and our son had a concussion and skull fracture. While it was an accident, it compromised our ski trip, which is why we booked our stay. We hope LOGE Camps will address the safety issue of these ladders as a top priority issue. It’s very unfortunate because everything else was fantastic!

We stayed on the mountain last year, and accommodations are sorely lacking. This year we decided to stay at LOGE Alta Crystal and loved it. Would stay there again anytime. Great location, great staff, we were allowed to keep our car in their lot while we skied that day and were able to take a hotel shuttle to and from the mountain. Outstanding service!

Great amenities, I only used pool and hot tub and they were clean and very warm. We got a loft suite and it had two baths, a full kitchen, extra towels for pool and showers, extra blankets, nice decor, and vaulted ceilings. Power outage happened during our stay and generators kicked on and stayed on throughout the night and the next morning.

Wonderful location, nicely appointed cabins. Don’t get the lower units if you want to sleep in/ the skiers above you will likely make a lot noise getting ready…

This is a great place to stay the rooms are wonderful and when we needed then to fix out tv they came very quickly. Having a kitchen with what was needed all the towels the wood a kindling was there for the fireplace . The well come basket for out service dogs was great and also the welcome basket for us Wes great

Great location- really disappointed with the pool being closed- wasn’t staffs fault but wasn’t compensated at all- we went there for my sons bday & the pool was the main reason to go. I had a couple hour notice, took time off & if I cancelled the next availability was in February since we booked the cabin.

Good: The loft unit was wonderful with beautiful views, and Charlie at the main front office was outstanding; very kind, helpful and full of positive energy. Looking forward to returning during ski season. Bad: The initial unit on the ground level, right next to the pool fence, did not have decent views, which one would expect when staying at the Loge, in Enumclaw, Washington.
